Hola everyone! We have some exciting news to share! Introducing Taste of Colombia ‘After Dark’. Starting this week we’ll be offering a selection of coffee infused alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy in the evenings. We’ve sourced out wines, beers, and spirits that blend beautiful coffee with your favourite ‘After Dark’ drinks. And of course we’ll be making traditional Spanish Coffees as well- starting with our version of ‘Carajillo’, originally a Spanish drink but also very popular in Colombia and other South American countries.
We’ll be rolling out these new products in the coming weeks and invite you to, as always, come in for a taste and let us know if there are other drinks you’d like to see us offering. Looking forward to seeing you at the cafe…after dark!
Help support team “Taste of Colombia” by pledging / donating whatever you can to the Sashbear Walk 2019. You may also support the team by registering for the walk if you are available on Sunday – May 26.
We host this wonderful organization in our community -event’s room so they can deliver their 12 week “Family Connections” Program to families in need of support as they often are in crisis mode.
Organizations like #Sashbear one are making a difference in our communities and we are very proud to support it.
How can a business be / apply the concept of Fair Trade (comercio justo) to music and musicians? In our cafe we benefit daily from the awesome music we play as the background music (latin / salsa / merengue / rumba / Spanish pop /flamenco and more).
Our salsa night requires the most awesome Salsa / Cha Cha Cha / Bachata ever created.
This is how:
Show respect for the music you love by supporting the artists that create it. Pay for their work as you would for another service or equipment.
1. Always buy a vynil / cd / dvd and if online we encourage you to pay for a service that pays royalties to musicians (we buy music in iTunes if we don’t own already own it).
2. If using music for business – pay your yearly fees to your local association (in Canada we pay SOCAN).
If you know another way – please share it with us! Gracias, Taste of Colombia / Fair Trade Colombia
