OAKVILLE Hosts One of 700 Screenings of New Climate Change Documentary, “Do the Math”

OAKVILLE — Residents of Oakville, Burlington and surrounding areas are invited to a free screening of a new climate change documentary called “Do The Math” this Sunday evening, April 21. The Oakville screening is one of over 700 community screenings and house-parties that are part of Earth Night, a worldwide event organized by the international climate campaign

Who: 30-40 local residents, students, and other citizens concerned about the climate crisis.

What: Screening of the new “Do The Math” climate change documentary

Where: Taste of Colombia Café, 67 Bronte Road, Unit #2, Oakville, Ontario, L6L 3B7 Canada (Parking available FREE at front and back of the cafe – you may use back entrance if you park at the back).

When: 7pm, Sunday, April 21st

The Do The Math documentary follows Bill McKibben, an environmental author and the founder of the international climate campaign, on last November’s 21-city “Do The Math” tour that helped spark a new fossil fuel divestment campaign that is sweeping the world.

The film also features Canadian author Naomi Klein, climate scientist Dr. James Hansen, Rep. Henry Waxman, green jobs visionary Majora Carter, environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Nobel Peace Prize Winner Desmond Tutu, and other climate and progressive leaders.

After the online premier of the film at 7:00pm ET, will be livestreaming a panel discussions at 8:00pm featuring Bill McKibben, Dr. James Hansen, and other movement leaders.
